Why I’m Buying the New Xbox One
Oh man am I sick of hearing about the complaints of Xbox One. Let’s be real. Only real and serious gamers play on the Xbox. I am having a really hard time believing that everyone who games competitively is going to switch from Xbox to Playstation.
Sure…I see some big noobs on Xbox switching over, but no way the competitive gamers switch over. Furthermore, Xbox has a lot more groups of friends plugged into Xbox Live. It’s very rare for there to be a group of friends all having the Playstation. Typically you’ll see groups of friends with the Xbox 360 and Xbox Live. I just don’t see this going away.
I really like the new controller because it brings pretty much the same design with a couple of new added features. Apparently the rumble packs in the controllers are sensitive to what is happening on the screen. I am pretty excited for this feature.
In all though, I’ll be buying the Xbox One because all of my friends are going to buy it. I know for a fact that none of them will go over to Playstation because we have said countless time how poor the competition for gaming is on there.

Will There be Xbox Live on the Xbox One?
Yes! Of course there will be Xbox Live on the Xbox One. But will we have to pay for it? Yes, probably – I don’t see Microsoft ever forgoing the money they make from Xbox Live – it just wouldn’t make any sense for their business in economic terms.
On the other side of things there is Playstation who seems to offer their Online services for free. However, a lot of people have no problem paying for the Xbox Live service. In fact, there are a lot of people who are actually going to buy the whole new Xbox One “Day One”. But don’t buy into this ploy – there’s nothing special about receiving this gamer code. It’s nothing more than a regular Xbox Live membership registration code you’d get when buying from Amazon or even from Xbox.
It’s safe to say we are going to see Xbox Live Prices stay the same. What seems to be great though is that with the new Xbox One you’re going to be playing on upgraded servers for Xbox Live. You’ll also get cool features like cloud storage, which makes it convenient to access your games and info from anywhere at anytime.
Are Microsoft Points Here to Stay for the Xbox One?
If you don’t know already, Microsoft Points are a virtual currency for Xbox. These points allow you buy a number of things on Xbox Live. For example you can buy Avatar items, movies, TV Shows, Xbox Live Arcade Games, Additional downloadable content, and more.
These are things gamers are always on the look out for buying and at one point or another have wanted to buy these items. When you want to buy these items, you have to purchase these Microsoft Points. Often times, people like to cash in on deals by buying 4,000 Microsoft Points. Supposedly you can get these points cheaper on Amazon. The way you can get these points cheaper on Amazon is because they don’t charge any tax. This is great for gamers trying to save money when they want to buy these points.
I personally love using my points to buy in game content. For example, if I am playing NHL Be a Pro, I am the kid who is going to buy points and then use the points to purchase in game upgrades for my pro. I found that if you do this you are able to upgrade your guy a lot faster and be better at the game. With that said, I went ahead and did it. Now with every single game i am always buying upgrades with the Microsoft Points to make my guy or gaming experience better.
